Mission

To administer and develop the tax system in the Republic of Yemen through a modern institutional approach founded on the rule of law, fairness and transparency; to deliver advanced digital tax services, simplify procedures, develop public revenues efficiently, and build effective partnerships with taxpayers and development partners in support of financial stability and the national economy.

  1. Strengthening and sustaining public revenues: Strengthen the State’s public treasury by managing and developing tax revenues efficiently and sustainably.
  2. Achieve comprehensive digital transformation: Automate tax operations and services, expand electronic collection, and establish integrated digital connectivity to improve accuracy and accelerate service delivery.
  3. Increase voluntary tax compliance: Build trust with taxpayers, strengthen tax awareness and provide guidance, and encourage voluntary fulfilment of tax obligations.
