Inauguration of a Training Workshop for Tax Authority Employees on Tax Auditing

Under the patronage of the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Saleh bin Brik, and the supervision of the Head of the Tax Authority, Dr. Jamal Mohammed Sarour, a training workshop was inaugurated today, Sunday, in the temporary capital, Aden. The workshop is titled “Best Practices and Mechanisms of Tax Auditing in Industrial, Commercial, and Service Sectors” and is conducted in partnership with the Economic Recovery and Livelihoods Program (ERLP), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The training workshop will last for five days and includes the participation of 40 employees from the Tax Authority and its offices in the liberated governorates, selected for their relevance and expertise. The workshop aims to enhance tax authority employees’ technical skills and efficiency in line with global standards and programs.

Throughout the workshop, the importance of training in tax-related fields for revenue collection and the transfer of global knowledge and expertise to the participating tax professionals will be emphasized.

The inauguration was attended by the Head of the Tax Authority, Dr. Jamal Sarour; Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Training, Mr. Fouad Al-Haj; and international trainer, Mr. Wael Khaddaj.
