Yemen Tax Authority Concludes Tax Auditing Course

Today in the capital, Aden, the training course on best practices and mechanisms of tax auditing in industrial, commercial, and service sectors, organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the Economic Recovery and Livelihoods Program, concluded. The course was held under the patronage of the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Saleh bin Brik, and supervised by the Head of the Tax Authority, Dr. Jamal Mohammed Sarour. It included 40 participants from the Tax Authority and executive offices in the governorates and lasted for five consecutive days. During this period, the trainees acquired new skills and expertise that contributed to enhancing their practical capabilities, which will reflect on improving the performance of employees in the executive offices in the field of tax auditing.

Dr. Jamal Sarour, Head of the Tax Authority, reviewed the level of performance and the amount of knowledge and expertise gained by the trainees during the program. In his speech at the end of the course, he emphasized to the trainees that the skills acquired should translate into improved performance and achievement, contributing to the development of tax resources. At the end of the course, Dr. Jamal Sarour distributed participation certificates to the trainees.

The certificate distribution ceremony was attended by Mr. Fouad Al-Haj, Assistant Undersecretary for Planning; Mr. Nasser Al-Hassani, General Manager of the Head of the Authority’s Office; international expert Mr. Wael Khaddaj; and USAID representative Ms. Najwa.
