The Supreme Judicial Council approved the establishment of a Primary Customs Court in the temporary capital, Aden, in southern Yemen, on Wednesday.
This decision came during the council’s meeting in Aden, chaired by Judge Mohsen bin Taleb, the council’s president, according to the Saba news agency. The council also approved renaming the Primary Tax Court in Aden to the Primary Customs and Tax Court in the governorate.
Additionally, the council decided to transfer Judge Ahmed Abdullah Mahraj to serve as a member of the Mukalla Appeals Prosecution, Judge Aateq Ahmed Hussein Saleh as Deputy for the Sayyaf Primary Prosecution in Hadhramaut, Judge Ahmed Ali Obaid Ali to work at the Ja’ar Primary Court in Abyan Governorate, and Judge Qasem Ali Nasser Hujairi to work at the Zarah Primary Court in the Lawdar District of Abyan Governorate.
The council also approved the retirement of several judges at their request and reviewed a number of grievances submitted by some judges, making appropriate decisions and remedies in accordance with the law.
